Fushigi Yuugi

A junior high school student named Yuuki Miaka has been transport into an ancient Chinese novel titled "The Universe of the Four Gods". There she discovers that she is in an Ancient country of China, Konan and become the priestess of one of four Gods, Suzaku. As she become a priestess, she must find the 7 Suzaku warrior to be her protectors. After they had been gathered, the priestess able to summon the God Suzaku, and to bring peace between war land of Konan and Kuto. But to do that it's not going to be easy, as Miaka best friend Hongo Yui also been transport into the novel and become the priestess of Seiryu in the land of Kuto as well as become her rival. It's up to Miaka now, to become priestess to summon Suzaku and bring peace to the land and become friend again with Yui. The series created in 1995 and has 52 episodes also 3 series of OVA. First OVA series created in 1996 and has 3 episodes. Second OVA series created in 1998 and has 6 episodes. Third OVA series created in 2001 and has 4 episodes. The series has comedy scenes but mostly are drama and romance, it's recommended for teens and adults to watch.
