Misumi Nagisa and Yukishiro Honoka are junior high school students, Nagisa is a sporty type girl and Honoka is a bookish type girl. One day, a shower of shooting stars bring two unlikely visitors, Mippuru and Meppuru, refugees from the Garden of Light, which has been conquered by darkness. With the new powers Nagisa and Honoka become Cure Black and Cure White, and they become Pretty Cure.
