Maison Ikkoku

This anime created by Rumiko Takahashi (creator of Ranma 1/2, Urusai Yatsura), it is about a young lad named Godai Yusaku who is failed with University entrance exam living in a run down apartment house called Maison Ikkoku. Among the other residents are the nosy Ichinose Kentaro, the sexy Roppongi Akemi , and the mysterious Yotsuya. The others are given to having wild parties which makes it difficult for Godai to study. Into this mayhem comes the recently widowed Otonashi Kyoko as the new live-in manager. Godai fall in love with her, but doesn't have the nerve to tell her. As time passes, their relationship slowly develops at Maison Ikkoku, despite all sorts of romantic hurdles. The series created in 1986 and has 96 episodes, 1 movie, 1 live action drama and 3 OVA episodes. The genre are comedy, drama, romance and recommended for teens to watch.
